Our team

The service unit is lead by a team of Volunteers who are dedicated to helping our local troops and providing support and encouragement. Please feel free to reach out to anyone on the team if you need anything.

Erica Thomsen

Service Unit Manager (SUM)
ericanthomsen@gmail.com

As the Service Unit Manager it is my job to build community and deliver a quality Girl Scout experience. I am a Council Trainer, a National Girl Scout Delegate, and the leader of a troop that loves practicing outdoor skills and traveling. Ask me anything – if I can’t answer your question I’ll find someone who can!

Kris & Margaret

Service Unit Project Manager (SUPM)
su5supm@gmail.com

Our role is to facilitate the two big fundraisers that will help you earn the money you need to run your troop – the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Sales. We provide the training and support you need to run a successful program that not only earns money but also helps your girls build key leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

[Open Role]

Communications Coordinator
ericanthomsen@gmail.com

We are currently looking for someone to fill this role. If you are interested in updating/maintaining the Service Unit website, keeping our calendar up to date, and communicating Girl Scout news and opportunities to our troops and leaders we’d love for you to join us! Contact Erica for more details.

Carol & Julie

Girl Experience Mentor (GEM)
gemsu5or@gmail.com

The GEM Team’s role is to support you and your troop in planning activities that are girl-led, fun, and age/experience appropriate. This includes helping you decide when you’re ready to leave your regular meeting space and take your troop on an adventure - starting with a walk through the neighborhood and progressing up to local, national, or even international travel!

Tiffany Levine

Volunteer Mentor
tlevine74@gmail.com

My job as Volunteer Mentor is to welcome new leaders to the service unit and help walk them through their first steps with their new troop. I’ll help make sure that you have the training and knowledge that you need, and I’m here to answer any questions you have about Girl Scouts and your role as a Troop Leader.

Gerlinde Lamer

Membership Growth Manger (MGM)
gstroop10602or@gmail.com

My job is to invite girls and leaders to become Girl Scouts. You may have met me at a Back to School night, a Service Unit picnic, or even at an Easter egg hunt! If you know someone – youth or adult – interested in talking about becoming a Girl Scout send them my way!

Samantha Brookshire

Treasurer (SUT)
samanthabrookshire@gmail.com

As the service unit treasurer, I help manage Girl Scout funds for our service unit and support troops with their banking and financial needs. I work with you - the leaders and volunteers - to make sure all money matters are handled in a way that follows Girl Scout guidelines and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Melody Finn

SU Data Specialist (SUDS)
mefinn101@gmaill.com

I am the keeper of information – background check status, volunteer trainings, troop rosters, etc. I support the other service team members in their work and help ensure that all of your troop information is correct and up-to-date.

Our trainers

The service unit trainers help to facilitate required Girl Scout trainings for leaders and the service unit. They participate in the service team meetings and help to facilitate the running of the service unit.
